Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Description The Accounts Payable Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for managing our entire accounts payable process: Setting up new vendors in our accounting system, collecting W-9s and certificates of insurance, receiving and entering bills, and releasing payments to vendors once appropriate paperwork is received. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with an understanding of accounts payable processes and basic financial principles. Candidates should possess experience with Expense Reports and Journal Entries (Accounting), including accurate coding, reconciliation, and documentation. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret data, and support process improvements. Proficiency with accounting software, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Excel, including data entry, spreadsheets, and report generation. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors, project teams, and finance staff. Prior experience in construction or architecture-related accounting is beneficial. An understanding of Notice to Owners and Florida lien laws. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
