BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, we feed, shelter, teach, and support our neighbors to build a stronger community. Across our 60+ locations, we provide programs in a variety of service areas, including workforce development, children, youth, families, seniors and homeless prevention.
This is a Temp-to-Perm position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide coverage for the front desk when needed
- Assist manager and Executive Assistant with filing, scanning, other tasks as needed
- Answer in-coming phone calls, take messages and direct them to the appropriate persons.
- Welcome and greet all customers visiting the work site.
- Distribute department/program mail daily in a timely manner.
- Run a variety of errands including delivering incoming packages.
- Perform additional duties as required by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
- Engaging personality and detailed orientated skills are essential.
- Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs, if required to conduct fieldwork.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
