Intake Attorney The Hemmat Law Group is creating a new role for an attorney who wants to stay close to client conversations while stepping away from the daily demands of litigation and case management. The position may be performed in a hybrid or fully remote capacity, depending on location and experience. Responsibilities Serve as the first attorney prospective clients speak with, setting expectations, evaluating fit, and building trust from the beginning. Conduct attorney‑level consultations and guide clients through emotionally charged conversations with empathy, clarity, and professionalism. Review and determine whether a matter is a strong fit for the firm, exercising sound legal judgment and setting realistic expectations. Own intake level consultations and play a strategic role in shaping how intake operates across the firm. Lead and influence the development of intake systems, processes, and standards that support long‑term firm growth. Collaborate closely with the intake team to refine vetting criteria, consult readiness, escalation standards, and overall quality control. Qualifications Active license and good standing with the Washington State Bar Association. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong legal judgment and issue‑spotting abilities. High emotional intelligence and the ability to remain steady under pressure. Comfort guiding people through high‑stakes and emotionally sensitive decisions. Consult training, family law training, and firm‑specific onboarding will be provided. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: DOE, reflecting the scope of experience the candidate brings to the role.
