Director of Business Development

To support a growing direct-to-Life Sciences commercial function, the full-time Director of Business Development will build and close enterprise relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Proactively build and manage a qualified pipeline in an assigned Life Sciences territory through various outreach strategies Lead solution selling by conducting discovery conversations and translating client needs into tailored solutions across the pharma development lifecycle Negotiate and close commercial agreements while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in sales to pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology companies in a quota-carrying role Demonstrated success selling data- or analytics-driven solutions, with knowledge of Life Sciences functional areas Proven ability to engage scientific buyers and understand their decision-making processes Experience structuring and negotiating enterprise data licensing agreements Disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting using established qualification methodologies
