Drug screening and employment verification are required for all our associates.Job ResponsibilitiesTransport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centersInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenancePlan routes and meet delivery schedulesDocument and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receiptsComply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents or violationsJob RequirementsProven work experience as a truck driverHands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)Ability to drive long hours and travel regularlyExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)Compensation: Pay starts at $20/per hourShift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pmType of Job: Full-time.Location: Joplin, MOBenefits: There is a wide range of benefits that you can customize to fit your needs including:Medical/dental/and vision plansHoliday Pay (6 Days Observed)401(k) Retirement Savings PlanVacation PayLife InsurancePrescription Drug ReimbursementReferral Bonuses
