Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and thoughtful observations.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work closely with a range of professionals - from physical therapists to caregivers - to develop comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and families to facilitate ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in some inpatient therapy evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring seamless care across the treatment continuum.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to established guidelines and regulations.
• Engage in continuing education to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and collaborate with peers for better outcomes.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of joining.
