About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Global Electronics and High Tech Category Management. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of the global procurement team, with a focus on team leadership, category management, strategic supplier relationships, and profitability through a total cost of ownership mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a large, diverse team, formulating and executing long-term category strategies, and ensuring the development of strategic supplier relationships that align with the company's vision. A key aspect of the role is to drive product costs down and manage the performance of suppliers to meet the company's quality, cost, delivery, and service standards. Candidates for this role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years of sourcing experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership capacity, and a strong background in electronics, high tech, EMS, and semi-conductors. The role requires a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and manage global, remote, and virtual teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a focus on market understanding, risk management, and supplier innovation, and sustainability. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an MBA and a background in engineering or business. The role demands a leader with a strong sense of urgency, the ability to drive results, and a commitment to the company's mission of serving patients and customers.
