Job Duties Interacts with co-workers, patients, family or designated care partners, and other staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson’s values. Minimum Qualifications Specialized Diploma graduate from an accredited school of nursing (or equivalent). Patient‑and‑Family‑Centered Practice: ability to convey respect, collaborate with patients and families, and incorporate cultural beliefs. Cultural Awareness: sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and ability to communicate effectively. Effective Communication: application of communication concepts, tools, and techniques; partnership language; respectful delegation. Patient Assessment and Care: ability to assess ailments, injuries, and implement treatment plans. Patient and Designated Care Partner Education: proficiency in child and adult education techniques and eliciting learning priorities. Medication Administration and Prescription: knowledge and safe administration of medications; prescribing for out‑of‑hospital treatment. Discharge Planning: partner with patients and families to develop discharge plans and arrange follow‑up care. Assessment and Diagnosis: use of tools and techniques for nursing diagnosis and clinical judgment. Health Information Documentation: appropriate documentation methods and accurate record‑keeping. Basic Life Support (BLS). American Heart Association certification (AHA). Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) or completion of a BSN within three years of hire. One year of RN experience in an acute‑care setting. Additional Qualifications Active RN license required in the state of practice. Physical Demands Lift and carry 40–50 lbs. Push/pull patients on bed or stretcher (29 lbs. push force) and perform lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of patient weight. Frequent to continuous standing and walking; may walk 8–10 miles per shift. Perform tasks such as kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR as required by role. Location Primary location: 1200 Old York Road, Abington, Pennsylvania, United States.
