Product Engineer I

Position: Product Engineer IShift: On-site Position Overview:Under direction, can execute designs to assist in developing ideas necessary for sales, engineering, and manufacturing within the company. This includes producing safe, technically accurate, and cost-effective designs.Specific Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport sales, manufacturing, and engineering efforts by creating all necessary documentation, calculations, drawings, designs, schematics, etc. as requiredPerform necessary calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA), sales, and customer requirementsManage drawing/design database – new drawings, calculators, design files, revisions, distribution, archiving, etc.Create and review technical drawings, specificationsPerform and/or evaluate simulations, calculations, etc. to test and validate designs, documentation as requiredMaintain and update, as needed, all ISO, ASME, API, and other QA requirementsContinual expansion of knowledge pertaining to engineering and design quality standards and necessary documentation within engineering departmentPerform engineering and QA checks prior to shipment of product to ensure compliance with sales, engineering, and QA requirementsMay perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisor.Core Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 1-5 years of mechanical design experience, internship can be countedMechanical Design and AnalysisFamiliarity with ASME, ISO, and API compliance regulations, codes, and standards, preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with manufacturing processes, preferred but not requiredCAD Software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks 2016 or newer, preferredExperience in MS Office Suite specifically MS Excel, PowerPointAbility to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demandingProblem solving, critical thinking, technical documentation/supportExcellent initiative and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsStrong attention to detailSummaryLocation: Houston, TXType: Full time
