Construction Project Engineer

Wood is currently seeking applications for Construction Project Engineers to support Industrial Construction Projects as site locations throughout the USS. Construction Project Engineer is involved in every stage, from initiation through commissioning and startup of a project and assures the technical quality and integrity of each project, providing key support to help bring projects in on schedule and within budget. We are seeking people to help manage complex construction projects ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Experience in Industrial Construction is preferred, but not required. Those without that experience, but with a desire to gain that experience are equally encouraged to apply. There are multiple positions, with different levels of responsibilities depending on the location and complexity of the project, but all positions are on-site at locations throughout the USA. You will be assigned to a site location for the duration of the project. Projects vary in duration, generally from 6 to 24 months. The role can present opportunities for both project and people leadership working in a range of interesting and diverse sectors including: Upstream / Midstream / Downstream Oil & Gas Chemicals Renewable Energy Power Mining & Minerals Industrials & Manufacturing Life Sciences Paper & Biomaterials Qualifications: Currently authorized to work in USA without sponsorship from Wood Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a construction related field Experience in Industrial Construction is highly desirable Proficiency in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products such as Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel) Well-developed interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing requirements to a wide range of client groups (internal and external) Self‑motivated, ability to work independently, or in a team environment, and provide leadership, support, direction, and consultation Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines Willingness to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationships Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data sets Ability to proactively detect challenges to safety, quality, cost and schedule that will ensure development and execution of effective prevention, mitigation, or corrective actions Able to establish and maintain a positive and effective customer relationship, ensuring payment terms are met, and communicating any delays Well organized, observant, good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with timelines/targets #J-18808-Ljbffr
