This position is responsible for preparing and presenting banquet menu items to luxury standards while working closely with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure flawless execution for events of all sizes.The Banquet Cook contributes directly to guest satisfaction by delivering consistent quality, precision, and professionalism behind the scenes.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook banquet menu items according to established recipes, plating standards, and event specificationsExecute food production for large‑scale events, including meetings, weddings, and special functionsEnsure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health and safety regulationsAssist with banquet set‑ups, breakdowns, and last‑minute event changes as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station at all timesCommunicate effectively with culinary leadership regarding timing, quality, and production needsSupport buffet and banquet line service, ensuring food quality and presentation remain consistent throughout eventsAssist with prep work, inventory rotation, and proper labeling of food itemsUphold Hotel ZaZa culinary standards, grooming guidelines, and safety protocolsSupport opening and closing duties and assist other culinary team members as neededQualifications:Previous banquet or hotel culinary experience preferredStrong understanding of basic cooking techniques and banquet food productionAbility to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentationKnowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practicesAbility to stand for extended periods and lift or carry up to 50 poundsFlexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event businessWhy Join Hotel ZaZa?At Hotel ZaZa, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer careers that inspire.
