Hospital Pharmacist in Fredericksburg, VA

Job Description

Support inpatient pharmacy operations at a 400-bed medical center in Fredericksburg, VA, utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems. This contract role primarily covers 8-hour second shifts with responsibilities including order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with healthcare teams, and managing pharmacokinetics.

Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule:

8-hour shifts
Mainly second shift coverage

Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
Manage pharmacokinetics and other clinical pharmacy services
Ensure compliance with hospital and pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
Strong communication skills for collaboration with medical staff
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment

This 13-week contract position offers an opportunity to apply your hospital pharmacy expertise with potential for temp-to-hire. Immediate availability is preferred to meet the facility’s critical needs.
