Business Development Associate

Summary:
Veryable is hiring a Business Development Associate in Tampa to drive growth, retain business users, and expand Veryable's presence. This is an in-office , customer-facing role for someone who wants to build a career where promotion is based on results, ownership, and hard work.
In this role, you will work directly with decision-makers and operational leaders, including plant managers, warehouse managers, production leaders, and executives across manufacturing and distribution businesses. You will be responsible for helping them understand how Veryable’s technology can solve operational bottlenecks, increase efficiency, and support long-term business growth.

As a Business Development Associate in Veryable’s Tampa office, you will bring disruptive technology to local manufacturing, logistics, and distribution businesses while helping them solve one of their biggest operational challenges: labor.

Our technology enables companies to respond to real-time demand, increase operational flexibility, and give operations leaders more control. At the same time, we provide workers with more options and greater access to flexible earning opportunities.
The Business Development Associate will report to Tampa’s General Manager and work closely with a team of operations professionals to drive growth. Collaboration, learning, and career development at Veryable happen in real time. This is an in-office role based in Tampa. Remote candidates will NOT be considered .
Responsibilities:
- Promote and uphold Veryable’s values, reputation, and company culture.
- Clearly communicate the value of Veryable’s platform and why businesses should use the platform to increase operational efficiency.
- On-site meeting presentations with manufacturing and distribution leaders to identify operational challenges and build strategic partnerships.
- Create onboarding plans for clients, establish success benchmarks, and drive long-term platform adoption.
- Research target accounts and initiate relationships through cold calls, email outreach, LinkedIn, and in-person meetings.
- Leverage tools and resources - including Claude, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot.
- Consistently meet or exceed key business development, operational, and performance targets.

- Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex ideas, tell a story, and drive results through clear and direct communication.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to break down complex problems, use data to identify insights, and communicate recommendations.
- CRM discipline and managing a pipeline to drive individual results.
- Able to work in the Tampa office every day and conduct regular in-person visits with local businesses.
- Interested in building within a fast-paced, execution-focused environment where success is driven by ownership, grit, and real-world business results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, distribution, warehousing, or operations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, engineering, or leadership.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or operational excellence principles.
