Highlights of the Position Excellent benefits package Evening Shift – 8 hour shifts, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Employee‑centered: York General was named Modern Healthcare's Best Place to Work for 13 years in a row Resident‑focused: Build rapport with residents and help them look and feel great; report changes in condition based on observations Leadership opportunity: Grow your career and lead the floor Responsibilities Provide nursing care to residents including medication administration, treatments, information collection, and documentation within an LPN scope of practice Monitor and identify changes in residents' conditions – medical, physical, behavioral, psycho‑social needs, and moods; initiate conversations with Nurse Coordinators, House Supervisors, Physicians, and families Supervise nursing staff as assigned; lead by example, provide education, direction, and monitor Medication Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Dining Assistants Report accidents, incidents, and unusual occurrences to supervisor; document as appropriate Document and communicate professionally, thoroughly, timely, precisely, and appropriately; notify appropriate parties as indicated Serve as a team leader and liaison with Activity Director, Social Work, Dietary, Therapy, Environmental Services, and other departments; problem‑solve and address residents' concerns for quality‑of‑life issues, especially in the absence of the Nurse Coordinators Qualifications Leadership qualities, organizational skills, and sound judgement Graduation from an accredited school for Practical Nursing or equivalent; current license in the State of Nebraska Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Ability to provide care for and develop rapport with aged residents and display genuine interest in nursing and care for frail elderly Benefits Attractive differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts Loan forgiveness up to $30,000 Excellent benefits package
