RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Self-assisted scheduling through Optilink for 6-week periods
• Patient ratios typically 1:5, or 1:4 with drips/bipap
• Minimum 2 years experience required, first time travelers accepted
• Must have Cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 ratios
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Subject to float to any facility campus if needed
• Care for adult patients with focus on cardiac conditions (CHF, ACS, arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization)
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems (COPD, pneumonia, BiPap)
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, vasoactive drip titration, chest tube management, BiPap/CPAP, tracheostomy management, and procedural sedation
• 24/7 nurse assistant support and RN secretary coverage 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred

This medical center operates a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department providing 24/7 comprehensive cardiac and medical care. The facility features private patient rooms with remote monitoring through a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes advanced technology and specialized equipment to support complex cardiac and respiratory cases requiring progressive care monitoring.
