Healthcare Sales Rep

Job Overview We’re changing lives every day for patients and team members. The Membership Growth Consultant (MGC) is an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating sales leads and memberships by nurturing relationships with seniors, local community partners, and senior-focused businesses to enroll new patients at ChenMed. The MGC arranges, designs, and orchestrates sales events and develops effective, cost‑efficient techniques to maintain high senior participation and satisfaction. The role communicates the ChenMed/JenCare value proposition at all community events. Core Responsibilities Nurtures, builds and cultivates direct‑to‑senior and business‑to‑business partnerships to generate new patient opportunities year‑round. Meets with individual seniors and groups in their homes, workplaces, houses of worship, senior centers or living communities to share the ChenMed value proposition. Plans, coordinates, and executes local events within the community (e.g., information tables, health fairs, Doc talks). Develops strong relationships with health‑plan agents, individual insurance agents, social workers, case workers, senior‑housing managers, senior centers, and other community providers. Partners with community officials, businesses, and senior outreach programs to develop initiatives that drive new patient growth. Schedules one‑on‑one sales meetings, referral relationships with plan agents, independent brokers, and the senior community to deliver solutions on immediate client requests. Manages vendors, negotiates contracts with event venues, and ensures availability of venues for community events. Ensures insurance agents or brokers are invited to community events to facilitate timely patient assignment to ChenMed. Uses marketing and sales tools to identify solutions and sell to new customers, maintaining up‑to‑date client information in the CRM tool (e.g., SalesForce). Provides a monthly activity calendar of community access points and new tabletop venues. Recovers dormant customers through sales tools and marketing campaigns. Drives new member growth by educating potential patients on the ChenMed value proposition and healthcare model, delivering presentations before large audiences. Develops distribution channels to support new patient enrollment growth and uses all sales tools provided to ensure efficiency and data collection. Partners with sales leadership to improve the effectiveness of engagements with distributors, vendors, and community partners. Builds trusting relationships with brokers, insurance agents, case workers, and third‑party vendors associated with seniors, executing specific partner strategies and plans. Engages with new patients through and beyond their first appointment, maintaining relationships to positively impact retention and addressing customer complaints and issues. Good keyboarding skills; accurate at a significant words‑per‑minute rate. Spoken and written fluency in English. Bilingual language skills is a plus. Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 75 %; work is primarily conducted off‑site. Uses independent judgment in all aspects of the role. Education and Experience Criteria High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred. Additional education, training, and experience may be considered on a year‑for‑year basis. Minimum of two years of successful sales experience required; experience working with seniors is a plus. Understanding of Medicare Advantage is also beneficial. Minimum of two years of business‑to‑business experience or equivalent management experience preferred. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with business/vendor partners. Experience in telesales and inputting sales data during calls. Possession of a valid driver’s license required. Pay Range $38,509 – $55,013 salary. The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary. Final compensation will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The position may be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
