As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll manage commercial accounts and work with Sales, Credit, Billing, and Cash Application teams. Key Responsibilities Of The Accounts Receivable Specialist Manage a portfolio of commercial, wholesale, and retail accounts while proactively following up on past-due invoices. Review AR aging reports, monitor payment trends and credit terms, and identify accounts requiring follow-up. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, including short pays, pricing variances, tax issues, credits, and purchase order mismatches. Communicate professionally with business customers regarding account balances, payment commitments, reconciliations, and account status. Partner with Sales, Credit, Billing, and Cash Application teams to resolve customer issues and support collection efforts. Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity, customer communications, and account updates. Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist 1+ year of B2B accounts receivable, commercial collections, or related AR experience. Knowledge of purchase orders, NET terms, credits, chargebacks, reconciliations, and customer portals. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
