To maintain our great environment and work culture for all employees, we require professionalism, good communication skills and the willingness to grow.Start your automotive career journey with one of the LARGEST and most SUCCESSFUL publicly traded retail automotive groups in the nation!Who we are looking for:Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.Experience as an express/quick lube technician preferred, not requiredOperate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.ResponsibilitiesPerform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standardsDiagnose cause of malfunctionComplete all work according to the applicable safety requirementsRoad-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair workAccurately record time spent repairs utilizing company time clocking proceduresDocument work performed on repair order and document test procedures/resultsResponsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools."Return special tools to proper placeUse shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical mannerMaintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.Complete all required trainingAcquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required trainingParticipate in and utilize technical training as assigned by managementReview the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by managementConstructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Clean gray work shirts creased gray work trousers, shirts to be tucked in at all times. Belts work on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer's vehicles.Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.Actual pay offered will be based on skills, qualifications and experience, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws. This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation.High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
