With our wide range of services and clients, you'll work on projects that matter as part of the Honkamp team.A Typical Day in the Life: As a staff accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' financial needs. Responsibilities may include:Complete simple transactions with oversight, performing self-review to ensure accuracy and completeness of work. Transactions include but are not limited to: processing monthly accounts and preparing bank reconciliations, state sales and use tax, annual 1099's and 1096's, year-end W2 adjustments, client depreciation schedules.Analyze client financial records and prepare annual financial statements and source documents. May prepare client individual organizers.Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.May begin to build client relationships.Handle all administrative tasks, as assigned.Assist with special projects as needed.Responsible for achieving annual billable hour goals while maintaining high standards of client service and contributing to the firm's revenue, profitability, operational excellence, and other strategic initiatives.If you are a detail-oriented individual looking to kickstart your career in accounting, we'd love to hear from you!
