Sterile Processing Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality sterile processing services, ensuring that all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained for safe usage in medical procedures.

Duration

This position is a 16-week contract with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Shift

This role requires the ability to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Ensure all sterile instruments and supplies are prepared and properly sterilized in accordance with established protocols.
Maintain accurate records for all sterilized equipment and products.
Assist in the stocking and distribution of sterile supplies as needed.
Adhere to safety and health regulations while managing and handling equipment.
Participate in training and compliance initiatives to maintain best practices in sterile processing.
Float to other areas within the skillset based on operational needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of consecutive experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Valid Central Supply Technician Certification.

Additional Requirements

All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application and for the duration of the contract.
Requested time off during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days, from Wednesday to Wednesday.
Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date. Failure to meet this requirement may result in a delayed start or a shortened contract.
