• Patient Volume: Approximately 15 hematology patients per day

Job Requirements

• Board certified in Hematology and/or Oncology; dual board certification preferred
• If treating oncology patients, board certification in Oncology is required
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• DEA registration required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred
• Experience with Epic strongly preferred; assessment required prior to start
• Comfortable managing an ambulatory clinic and working with a collaborative care team

Responsibilities

• See new and follow-up patients in an ambulatory Hematology/Oncology clinic
• Focus primarily on benign hematology while being comfortable in a general oncology role
• Write orders and prescriptions in support of patient treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy, nurses, navigators, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide high-quality care for adult patients in a busy outpatient setting
• Collaborate with nurses, navigators, administrators, infusion specialists, APPs, and physicians to support patient care
