HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc., 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ Part‑time M‑F 4pm to 8pm, Evening shift Hiring Range: $40.59 - $50.74 Hourly Sonographer Position Summary The Sonographer performs all diagnostic ultrasound examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis. The Sonographer integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Primary Position Responsibilities Performs all ultrasound procedures (General, OB‑Gyn, Breast and/or Vascular, as appropriate) including patient positioning, machine set‑up, image acquisition, measurements, and post‑processing. Follows all National Patient Safety Goals. Provides record‑keeping of patient history and symptoms. Reviews orders, explains procedure, answers questions and provides a high level of patient satisfaction. Assists physician in the performance of invasive ultrasound procedures, if applicable. Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory. Work Contact Group (Internal/External) Physicians Hospital staff Patients Family Reporting Relationships Reports to: Ultrasound Supervisor or Manager, Women’s Imaging Center Student Technologists Qualifications Required High School Diploma or Equivalent Graduate of an Accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Preferred Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field of Study Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) None License, Registry or Certification Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Credential or registry‑eligible in appropriate areas of Ultrasound (general, OB‑GYN, Vascular).
