Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days or Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Day Shift: 7:00–19:30 | Night Shift: 19:00–7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro floor and Comprehensive Stroke Center, managing complex neurological and stroke patients
• Administer and monitor treatments, medications, and interventions in accordance with established protocols
• Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other units or facilities within the system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes in a teaching hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Local candidates are welcome and are considered on the same basis as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Prior Neuro ICU experience
• Trauma ICU experience
• Experience with External Ventricular Drain (EVD) management
