Assistant Manager Retail Reporting & Analytics

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION

The NAM Assistant Manager of Data Solutions and Analytics at adidas is responsible for supporting the adidas retail data foundation and delivering cutting-edge data to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions. This person will maintain strong relationships with the data community both locally and globally to ensure retail is developing and implementing data solutions that are continuing to drive growth in the retail fleet. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and support retail reporting for retail back-office partners, fleet and store leaders.
• Create, automate and maintain dashboards and reports to ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting for retail.
• Monitor analytics and metrics results to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices for data governance and management.
• Recommend and evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Work cross-functionally with teams to identify business needs and gather requirements to deliver data to drive business decisions.
• Work closely with global data and analytics team to ensure retail data sources are maintained and updated appropriately.
• Effectively communicate changes and updates to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Assist in training sessions and provide ongoing support to teams using new reporting tools and data solutions, helping users build confidence and proficiency.
• Contribute to change management activities by coordinating communications, gathering feedback, and supporting transition plans during the rollout or retirement of data solutions. 
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and share out results to stakeholders in a timely manner to drive quick data driven business decisions.
• Incorporate predictive models and machine learning to forecast business outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Familiarity with data and analytics platforms (Databricks highly desired).
• Familiarity with data warehouse processes and leading the execution of analytical projects.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in-person and virtually.
• Ability to work independently without direction at times.
• Strong business intelligence skills along with logical reasoning.
• Ability to support and assist in project delivery and execution on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy Familiarity with change management principles and experience supporting training or communication activities.
• Foundational knowledge of data systems and tools, with hands-on experience in implementing or maintaining data pipelines, ETL workflows, or integration tasks, Ability to remain agile and adapt to the needs of the business.
• Python/R skills a plus.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in the field of Business, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
• 2+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, financial planning, business intelligence, market or customer research
• SQL experience required
• Proficiency in Power BI required
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to alternate between sitting and standing for long periods of time.
• At adidas we offer a hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday.
