Journeyman Plumber (Commercial / Industrial) Location: Denver Metro Area (Fort Collins to Colorado Springs) Company Type: Family-Owned Mechanical Contractor Pay Range: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour About the Role We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber to join a growing mechanical contractor specializing in plumbing, heating, and piping systems. This role supports commercial and industrial construction projects across the Denver metro area, including complex and technically demanding environments. This position offers a strong career growth path into Foreman and Superintendent roles, along with hands‑on training and long‑term development within a close‑knit team. Project Types Wastewater & water treatment plants Hospitals and healthcare facilities Schools and universities Correctional facilities Hotels and large commercial buildings Key Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and piping systems in commercial/industrial settings Work across both plumbing (50%) and HVAC piping systems (50%) Interpret blueprints, specs, and drawings Lead and coordinate small crews in the field Ensure jobsite safety and quality standards are met Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades Required Experience & Qualifications Journeyman Plumber License (required) 8+ years of commercial and/or industrial experience Proven experience leading crews in the field Strong knowledge of: Cast iron systems Waste & vent systems PVC and copper piping (heavy soldering, some press) Threaded and steel piping Ability to bring and maintain required hand tools (basic tools, cordless tools, torch) Reliable transportation and ability to commute across project sites Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills HDPE fusion pipe experience Acid waste system experience (limited exposure required) Work Schedule Typical schedule: Monday-Friday Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 45-50 hours per week expected Option for 4-day workweeks (11-12 hour shifts) Occasional Saturdays as needed Compensation & Benefits $38.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE) Health insurance 401(k) with company match 1 week PTO Ongoing training and professional development Clear advancement path to Foreman and Superintendent roles Work truck provided for higher-level positions What We're Looking For Efficient and detail-oriented Strong communicators Proactive and self‑motivated Committed to maintaining a safe jobsite Interested in long-term growth and leadership development Job Type & Location: Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.
