Environmental Engineer
Mural Industrial is partnering with a global industrial manufacturer to hire an Environmental Engineer for a large-scale manufacturing facility. This is a heavily environmental-focused role centered around air permitting, emissions compliance, wastewater management, and regulatory reporting within a complex industrial operation. The site operates large-scale manufacturing equipment and smokestack systems in close proximity to residential areas, making environmental compliance and agency coordination critical to day-to-day operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage air permitting and emissions compliance activities for the site
- Support smokestack emissions monitoring and environmental reporting
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support environmental audits and inspections
- Oversee wastewater management and related compliance activities
- Maintain compliance with EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and related environmental regulations
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and regulatory submissions
- Partner with operations, engineering, and global environmental teams to support compliance initiatives
- Support ISO 14001 environmental management system activities
- Track corrective actions and support continuous improvement efforts across the site
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years of environmental engineering or environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong experience with air permitting, emissions compliance, and environmental reporting
- Familiarity with EPA regulations, Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and environmental audits
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and external inspectors
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
- Comfortable working onsite in a hands-on industrial environment
Nice to Have
- ISO 14001 experience
- Experience with wastewater management programs
- Experience supporting large industrial manufacturing facilities
