Job Position: Legal Assistant Job Type: Full-Time Location: Mitchell, SD 57301 Pay Rate: $19.00-$24.00/hr DOE Job Summary: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Description: We are seeking a reliable and organized Legal Assistant to support daily office operations at a local law office. This position focuses on document preparation, file organization, customer communication, and general administrative support. Legal experience is not required; strong office skills and computer knowledge are preferred. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, format, and proofread documents
- Manage emails, calendars, and office communications
- Organize and maintain digital and physical files
- Assist with general administrative tasks
- Answer phones and provide professional customer service
- Support office operations and daily workflow
- Handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- 1+ year of office or administrative experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Outlook
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
