Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments along with observational approaches. Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing challenges. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions emphasizing fluency, language, voice, and swallowing skills. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to establish integrated care strategies. Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of clinical visits. Assist with sporadic inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic process. Keep up with detailed and accurate documentation that complies with all state and federal regulations. Engage in ongoing education and peer discussions to remain abreast of advancements in the speech-language field. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution. A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't achieved ASHA certification yet. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Therapist . ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies for diverse populations, with deep insights into developmental as well as acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills conducive to effective communication with patients, families, and collaborative care teams. Adept at modifying therapy methods to honor cultural and linguistic variety. Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities. Fluency in electronic medical recordkeeping and compliance standards.
