End Date: 12/05/2026

Shift: 12-hour Days (8a-8p or 10a-10p)

Hours/Week: 36-40 hours

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses/Certs: RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CDN or CNN (preferred)

Experience: 1+ year of inpatient dialysis experience; First-time travelers require 2+ years in acute care if previously perm staff

Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide dialysis care to patients on hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis (peritoneal experience not required)
• Access fistulas and dialysis catheters, ensuring proper technique
• Monitor and manage patients with complex needs in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse EMR
• Travel between multiple facilities including WKMC (WK North), Bossier, Pierremont, and South locations
• Participate in essential call shifts and weekend rotations
• Follow safety protocols, including infection control and patient safety guidelines

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient dialysis experience
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with BBraun dialysis machines and vascular access
• Flexibility to travel between facilities

• CDN or CNN certification
• Previous travel RN experience
• Experience working with dialysis patients on water machines

About the Assignment This assignment is based at a leading medical facility in Shreveport, LA, serving a diverse patient population. The RN will primarily work at WKMC (WK North) but will float to other nearby facilities as needed. The unit emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and excellent patient care.

Holidays: Work 2/3 holidays, with scheduled time off on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
