Occupational Health Nurse/RN

Location: Sylmar, CA 91342

Contract: 6 Months
⏰ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Experience: 2–4 Years

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

License: Current RN License – State of California

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse/RN to provide comprehensive occupational health services and support the health and safety of the site population. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical, case management, and employee health experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health services, including First Aid response, treatment, and care to employees.
• Manage employee injuries and illnesses, including associated Workers’ Compensation cases .
• Oversee medical surveillance programs, protocols, logs, screenings, and related documentation.
• Manage and maintain occupational health medical supplies and equipment .
• Coordinate and support corporate occupational health and safety programs.
• Conduct applicable employee health and safety training .
• Participate in site teams and Emergency Response activities.
• Collaborate closely with Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and HR teams.
• Work effectively with employees, managers, and supervisors across the site.
• Provide effective case management and return-to-work coordination .
• Proactively support programs designed to reduce Workers’ Compensation costs .
• Assist with injury prevention and other occupational health initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Active RN license in the State of California.
• 2–4 years of nursing experience , preferably in Occupational Health.
• Strong knowledge of employee health, injury management, and Workers’ Compensation processes.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and case management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees, management, HR, and EH&S teams.
