Residential Director Regular Full-time Brooklyn Park, MN, US Salary: $85,000.00 Annually Must be comfortable working with Challenging Behaviors! What is a Residential Director? Residential Directors coordinate all service delivery. These functions include; coordinating with the Interdisciplinary Team, licensing, conducting internal audits, assuring service satisfaction, managing the organization's procedures for vulnerability and mandated reporting; and managing current and past individual records. Additionally responsible for overall program services, including: leadership, staff training & development, and maintaining compliance records. This position provides strategic direction to the programs and supervises the assigned Service Managers. Who makes a great Residential Director? An individual who: Has a passion for helping others. What are the responsibilities of a Residential Director? Oversees the daily workflow of the service delivery department. Responsible for overall programming including leadership, staff training & development, finances & maintaining compliance records. Visits each site at least once per month to stay informed of operations and provide support and guidance. Audits timecards and schedules and ensures EVV is adhered to. Implements internal auditing and reporting system . Ensures overall service satisfaction, including investigating satisfaction problems and recommending solutions. Coordinates internal investigations of reported incidents, files paperwork, reports conclusions and makes recommendations. Manages individual records and assures the security and privacy of the records. Ensures licensing requirements are adhered to. Participates in group and team meetings, including Leadership Team meetings, as necessary. Who are we looking for? Applicants must: Have three to five years of experience in a program that provides direct care or education to vulnerable adults or children. Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, access to an reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to safely transport vulnerable individuals. Be able to pass a DHS background study. Have a proven history of developing staff and managers. Working knowledge of 245D requirements and standards. Exhibit proficiency in all Microsoft office applications to be successful in this position. Therap experience a plus . Degree and Experience Requirements: (1) A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and one year of full‑time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; OR (2) An associate degree in a field related to human services, education, or health and two years of full‑time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older, or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; OR (3) A diploma in a field related to human services, education, or health from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full‑time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children; OR (4) A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; AND Four years of full‑time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3). Working Conditions: Is subject to frequent interruptions, imposed deadlines and frequent problem‑solving activities. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset individuals, staff, family members, visitors and personnel from other agencies. May be exposed to a variety of conditions, infectious diseases, odors, dust, etc. throughout the working hours. Regularly travels in the community, drives a vehicle and transports individuals and will be asked to use your own vehicle (with paid mileage). Is subject to flexible hours, including split shifts or varied days and times including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, holidays, weekends and overnights depending on coverage needs. Work locations may vary according to the needs of the company and staffing requirements. May be assigned to work sites throughout the various counties contracted for services with the company, including reassignment to a different shift when the scheduled shift has been cancelled. May be subject to physically aggressive individuals and may be required to participate in a behavioral restraint. Carries and responds to cell phone during non‑working hours. Employees may choose $ 6,900 in additional compensation in lieu of the vehicle .
