This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the Burn Intensive Care Unit at a healthcare facility in Plano, Texas. The role focuses on managing patients with burn and trauma injuries, ensuring safety and quality outcomes through critical thinking and effective communication. The assignment duration is from September 28, 2026, to December 28, 2026.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Days
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: RN license, recent experience in ICU Burn, Trauma, or Surgical ICU, communication and critical thinking skills, BSN and CCRN preferred. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN, CCRN
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit includes Burn ICU and Trauma ICU with 30 beds and a staff of 85.
  • Typical patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU and 4:1 for Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
  • Equipment includes Critical Care Equipment, and the EMR system used is Meditech.
  • Procedures performed include wound care, codes, external ventricular drains (EVDs), and MTP.
  • The team-based personality fit is preferred, with staff being proactive and collaborative.
  • The position requires working two weekends per pay period, with no experience minimum.
