The Cancellations Payable Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of contract cancellations and vendor payments. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

 

You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, automotive dealers, and lienholders — supporting a seamless cancellation process and upholding Cadence’s standards of service, innovation, and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies; identify, resolve, and correct errors promptly.

· Review approved payables and verify amounts for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.

· Manage contract cancellations with efficiency and consistency, handling a high volume of requests.

· Consistently ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.

· Communicate with automotive dealers and lienholders to obtain necessary documents and confirm payment status.

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.

· Work collaboratively as a flexible team player to support department goals and accounting objectives.

· Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

· Prepare reports and analyses as needed to support decision-making and operational visibility.

· Uphold Cadence Innovations Group values, including transparency, innovation, work/life balance, and ethics.

· Perform additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

· Experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or a similar clerical/financial role.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

· High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and customer-service oriented.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

· Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative working approach.

· Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms (experience with Acumatica is a plus).

· Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following internal policies and controls.
