Duties

The student trainee will work with higher graded technical and professional staff in support of office programs and activities to gain practical work experience that augments training in an academic course of study. Assignments are designed to provide orientation, training, and familiarization with the work processes of OSHA.

• Uses personal computers with office applications to perform operations or prepare documents and uses on-line resources to obtain information from the Internet.
• Drafts, proofreads, and edits documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Performs basic evaluation, computations, calculations, and statistical analyses on management data.
• Attends meetings and takes notes, records minutes, and tracks milestones, and deadlines.
• Tracks and monitors incoming digital correspondence and telephone inquiries.
• Monitors supplies for the Agency employees (takes basic supply inventory, receives requests, places orders, distributes supplies, and maintains records).
• Supports stakeholder engagement event planning (e.g. conducts preliminary research for selection of event location; is responsible for logistical arrangements; obtaining interagency clearances, etc.)
