Position Summary

Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Director, the LMFT provides high-quality counseling and mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. You will play a key role in helping patients navigate life challenges, improve relationships, and achieve emotional wellbeing.

What You'll Do

You will:

• Provide marital, family, and individual counseling (including relationship, premarital, separation, and child counseling)
• Conduct assessments using interviews, observations, and standardized tools
• Diagnose and treat mental health and behavioral conditions
• Identify and address communication and relationship patterns
• Help patients develop healthier coping strategies and behaviors
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with patients on post-treatment and wellness goals
• Coordinate care with internal teams and external resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with clinical and billing standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary team care and case coordination

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage & Family Therapy or related mental health field
• Minimum 3 years of post-degree clinical experience (preferred)

Licensure

• Current Hawaiʻi LMFT license (required)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily office/clinic-based setting
• Extended periods sitting, computer use, and patient interaction
• Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs
• Exposure to clinical environments and patient conditions
• Requires strong emotional resilience and ability to work with sensitive situations
