Comprehensively assess patients ranging from young children to seniors, utilizing both standardized testing and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans that focus on timely objectives while also addressing overarching communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that target language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing enhancements.
Foster collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to develop a seamless care experience.
Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a continuous care pathway for your patients.
Keep precise and timely documentation according to relevant state, federal, and organizational policies.
Engage in ongoing education and peer interactions to stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech therapy.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based practices for diverse populations, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, their families, and fellow health professionals.
Flexible in adapting therapeutic approaches to respect cultural and linguistic diversity.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and proper documentation practices.
