About the Role

The Company is in search of a Managing Director for Brand and Marketing Strategy. This executive will be tasked with leading the organization's enterprise marketing, brand, communications, and event marketing strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the company's market position, ensuring consistent brand expression, and driving participant engagement across all platforms. Key responsibilities include owning the overall brand architecture, establishing long-term marketing vision, and leading integrated annual marketing planning. The role also involves overseeing product, membership, and participation marketing, leading digital and performance marketing strategies, and managing external communications and PR to support the brand's positioning and stakeholder engagement. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should have a background that includes 15-20 years of progressive leadership, with a focus on multi-functional team management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in enterprise strategy, financial management, and driving measurable growth. Experience in organizational complexity, particularly within national governing bodies, sports organizations, and membership-based or nonprofit entities with commercial partnerships, is essential. The role requires a leader with a strong commercial and partnership marketing background, as well as experience in organizational development and the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA or advanced degree.
