Quality EngineerQuality Engineer responsibilities include the development and maintenance of AS9100/ISO9001 QMS system. Other responsibilities will include the coordination of QC teams, resolution of product issues, and customer support.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and improving the ISO9001 and AS/EN9100 policies and procedures including internal auditsPerform APQP (FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.)Planning, Conducting, Tracking and Reporting all QMS audit activitiesAnalysis of internal (trends, scrap, SPC, etc..) and customer to drive actions focused on continuous improvementDevelop timelines and ensure timely completion of all quality requirements/documentsLiaison with Customers during visits, builds, NPI activities, process/system auditsEnsure great customer relations are developed and maintainedProvide written technical responses to customers on quality issues as well as performing ongoing reporting to customersClearly and consistently communicate customer Quality expectations to the OrganizationLead/ coordinate cross-functional NPI teams on product launches, apply lessons learned to continuously improve the NPI processAssisting or Leading cross-functional team to investigate quality issues and recommend technical solutions – be the Quality champion for CI activitiesQuality background to include CAPA problem solving and root cause analysisStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to conduct and/or participate in internal training programs and attend external training as requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated diplomacy and professionalismExceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniquesConviction to improve personally and support continuous improvement in the department and company as a wholeHigh level of personal integrityProfessional/mature demeanor under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment - effective time management skillsMust be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed while having the ability to work seamlessly within a cross functional team environmentWork ConditionsSome travel may be requiredAbility to attend and conduct presentationsManual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripheralsOvertime as requiredRequirementsMinimum of three years in Community College with Technology diploma or an Engineering degree preferred.5-10 years as a QE or related role in Quality Assurance within a machine shop environment preferredISO9001 – 2015 Lead Auditor Certification/accreditation preferredAbility to read blueprints and proven competency with standard metrology toolsIntermediate level computer skills using MS Office Suite of programsClose working knowledge of GD&T requirements
