Nurse Coordinator (RN) - Med/Surg $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment Schedule: 3x12s, Day Shift (7a-7p). Holidays and Weekends Required. Your experience matters More about our team Join our team in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This department utilizes self-scheduling application. How you'll contribute Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations. Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow. Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives. Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures. Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements. Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
