Quality Control SupervisorThe Quality Control Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality throughout our manufacturing operations. This hands-on position leads the daily activities of the Quality Control team while actively participating in inspection processes, quality investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate is an experienced quality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for precision. This individual will oversee quality inspection activities, manage nonconforming material processes, support corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and industry standards.Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, and external suppliers, the Quality Control Supervisor will utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), precision measuring equipment, and quality management systems to drive operational excellence, reduce costs, and continuously improve product quality.Supervise, train, mentor, and develop Quality Control Inspectors while fostering a culture of quality and accountabilityPlan, assign, and coordinate daily inspection activities to support production schedules and quality objectivesPerform receiving inspections of purchased and manufactured componentsConduct first-piece, in-process, final, and pre-shipment inspections of manufactured components, assemblies, and finished equipmentSet up and perform inspections using both manual and DCC Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Create, modify, and maintain CMM programs utilizing PC-DMIS softwareReview, approve, and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentationInvestigate nonconforming material and initiate corrective actions as neededLead root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activitiesMaintain quality records utilizing ERP systems, quality databases, and corrective action systemsOversee calibration activities to ensure inspection equipment remains compliant and traceablePerform and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)Create, review, and manage Certificates of Conformance (COC)Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processesSupport supplier quality initiatives including evaluations, audits, and corrective action follow-upMonitor quality metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Assist in maintaining departmental budgets while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvementEnsure compliance with company safety policies, quality management systems, and regulatory requirementsParticipate in internal and external quality auditsTravel occasionally to suppliers, contract manufacturers, and customer locations for inspections, audits, and quality assessmentsPerform other related duties as assignedStrong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications using ASME Y14.5-2018 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Advanced proficiency programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS softwareThorough understanding of precision measuring equipment and quality inspection techniquesWorking knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologiesUnderstanding of calibration systems and measurement system best practicesStrong mathematical aptitude including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and dimensional analysisExcellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skillsStrong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal abilitiesProven problem-solving and root cause analysis skillsHigh attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and product qualityAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsAssociate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be consideredMinimum of 5-7 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environmentMinimum of 2 years of supervisory, lead, or management experience within a quality organizationAdvanced experience programming and operating CMM equipment utilizing PC-DMIS softwareExperience supporting corrective action systems and root cause analysis activitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience utilizing ERP systems, preferably EpicorFamiliarity with quality management systems and document control processesPreferred QualificationsASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)Experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systemsExperience in welding, machining, stainless steel fabrication, or assembly manufacturing environmentsInternal auditor training and auditing experienceWe're Admix, a fast-growing employee-owned* manufacturing company specializing in industrial mixing equipment!
