Bakery Clerk

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team. The Bakery Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining attractive product displays, packaging baked goods, and helping ensure the bakery department remains clean, organized, and fully stocked. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for fresh baked products.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Package, label, and price bakery products accurately.
• Stock and replenish bakery displays, shelves, and cases.
• Maintain product freshness and rotate inventory as needed.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, ingredients, and special orders.
• Keep the bakery area clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
• Operate scales, slicers, and other bakery equipment safely.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and organizing inventory.
• Support bakery production and decorating staff as needed.
• Follow all company policies and health department regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, bakery, grocery, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
