This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing operation that specializes in precision-cut metal components for a variety of industrial and manufacturing customers.If you have experience operating laser cutting equipment, enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, and take pride in delivering quality work, we want to hear from you.Position Summary:The Laser Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flat and tube laser cutting equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of material types, machine setup, production flow, quality standards, and process optimization to maximize productivity while minimizing material waste.The ideal candidate will have experience adjusting machine parameters, modifying programs, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining consistent quality throughout the production process.Responsibilities:Operate flat and/or tube laser cutting equipment safely and efficientlyPrioritize and execute production schedules based on manufacturing demandsSelect appropriate material types, thicknesses, and grades for production runsAdjust machine parameters, nesting layouts, and programs to optimize cut quality and production efficiencyMaximize material utilization while minimizing scrap and wasteMonitor machine performance and perform quality checks throughout the production processPerform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issuesCoordinate with maintenance personnel and equipment manufacturers as neededSupport production needs by assisting with additional laser equipment when requiredVerify completed parts meet customer specifications and quality requirementsMaintain accurate production, work order, machine usage, and quality documentationFollow all company safety policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedPreferred Experience:Prior experience operating laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentStrong understanding of: Sheet metal and plate processingMaterial grades and thicknessesLaser cutting speeds and feed ratesMachine setup and operationExperience modifying nesting programs and machine parametersAbility to read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and technical drawingsExperience performing quality inspections using measuring toolsBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout an entire shiftAbility to lift materials and components as requiredAbility to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machineryAbility to wear required PPE: Steel toes, hearing an eye protection.
