About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the institution, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and personnel management. This senior leadership role requires a strategic and innovative approach to problem-solving, the ability to communicate expectations clearly, and a commitment to transparency and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will be expected to bring a wealth of experience in financial management, with a focus on the unique challenges and opportunities of a publicly funded university. Key responsibilities for the CFO include providing executive leadership and oversight of the company's financial services, supporting the implementation of institutional financial priorities, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role also involves close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer to translate institutional priorities into financial strategies and operational plans. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a related field, at least 8 years' of experience in financial management, and a strong background in governmental accounting and public-sector financial administration. A CPA designation and experience within a similar system are preferred. The CFO will be instrumental in modernizing financial processes, enhancing the student experience, and leading the company through a period of growth and expansion.
