An opportunity awaits you at NCCU, where your purpose can take flight.Primary Purpose of Position - The School of Business at North Carolina Central University seeks highly qualified applicants for a 9-month, Clinical Instructor of Real Estate who will also serve as Director of the Real Estate Studies. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Real Estate and related business disciplines while providing strategic leadership for the Real Estate Studies through the development and administration of innovative academic, co-curricular, and community engagement initiatives that promote Real Estate, innovation, and economic development. The qualified candidate must have earned Ph.D. in Real Estate or a related field from an AACSB-accredited program or an equally relevant accredited program in a related discipline. Candidates with a Master's degree and significant working experience in the real estate area will also be considered. The Director will work collaboratively with faculty, students, alumni, corporate partners, community organizations, and governmental agencies to advance the mission and strategic goals of the School of Business and the University.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate and related business disciplines. Faculty will engage students in the study and application of real estate and economic development through experiential learning and applied business practices. While the School's primary focus is teaching, maintenance of academic qualifications includes continuous scholarly productivity in discipline-related quality journals and/or sustained professional engagement consistent with AACSB standards. Service activities include selected committee assignments at the departmental, School, and/or University levels. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; effective problem-solving, diplomacy, and leadership abilities; a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and develop productive relationships with students, faculty, alumni, entrepreneurs, industry partners, and community stakeholders; and a commitment to maintaining high professional standards and integrity. The candidate should also possess the ability to develop and manage real estate programs, foster innovation, secure external partnerships and funding opportunities, and provide strategic leadership for the Real Estate Program.Minimum Education/Experience - The qualified candidate must have earned Ph.D. in Real Estate or a related field from an AACSB-accredited program or an equally relevant accredited program in a related discipline.
