Role Overview Join United's Tech Ops experts as a Line Technician and help keep our fleet flight-ready. Strong mechanical competence and attention to detail are crucial for this critical position. Unlike smaller regional airlines, United offers the opportunity to work on larger, highly sophisticated aircraft. Key Responsibilities Keep the fleet flight-ready through hands-on line maintenance work on large, highly sophisticated aircraft Collaborate professionally with co-workers, giving and receiving support as a member of the team Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including weather extremes Requirements High school diploma or GED / educational equivalent Valid US driver's licence Computer literacy Must pass a background check and drug screen upon contingent job offer An eagerness to learn and willingness to train Ability to access elevated aircraft areas via ladders, lift trucks, boom lifts and other devices Strength to lift 50 pounds, physical flexibility and the ability to work in confined spaces Legal authorisation to work in the United States without sponsorship Licences & Qualifications FAA A&P licence required What We Offer Starting rate for this role is $38.77 Great benefits, including several plan options Flight privileges from day one: you and your family can fly anywhere in the world on stand-by At least two consecutive days off, plus vacation days earned based on length of service Initial training, specialty classes and recurrent training in technical areas and on topics such as ethics and compliance Career progression into roles including management, inspection, quality control and fleet planning, and the chance to transfer to other network locations with seniority Additional Information This is a union position based on seniority, so you will be assigned an initial schedule designed to meet operational needs at the airport. You must be available for any shift within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays, and may be required to work mandatory overtime. Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED / educational equivalent
• Valid US driver's licence
• Computer literacy
