Job Posting: Multiple Food Service Lead Positions
The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for multiple Food Service Lead positions at the Goose Creek Correctional Center (GCCC) located in Mackenzie Point, Alaska.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Direct kitchen staff, including Food Service Journey employees and inmate workers, in the preparation and production of meals for up to 1,500 inmates.
- Ensure stock is pulled for the daily pre-set menus and ensure medically prescribed diets are properly prepared for each meal service.
- Direct the production and preparation of all bakery items.
- Oversee and instruct kitchen staff in the areas of cooking, baking, sanitation, nutrition, and portion control.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
GCCC is a minimum/medium custody facility that houses up to 1,500 inmates and employs over 350 staff. You will be working in an institutional setting with inmates daily.

- Food Service: Knowledge of preparing and serving food for consumption.

Additional Required Information:
Starting salary may be approved up to Step D - $27.75, if criteria are met.
