Speech Language Pathologist SLP
Transform Lives with Communication Skills in the Heart of the Midwest – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your expertise gives life to communication — literally. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of the most dynamic areas of Kansas City, your impact will extend beyond the clinical aspects of communication and swallowing disorders. You'll be unlocking human potential, instilling confidence, and forging deep connections—nurturing the language of toddlers as they speak their first sentences and helping seniors regain their ability to engage with the world around them.
This position allows you to work with a diverse range of individuals throughout their life stages, blending outpatient therapy with the occasional need for inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric communication advancements, rehabilitation for adult neurogenic disorders, or cognitive treatment for the elderly, you'll find a satisfying and versatile experience awaiting you.
Conduct assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a combination of standardized evaluations and observational insights.
Craft individualized treatment strategies aimed at both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions designed to enhance communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing ability.
Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to orchestrate holistic care plans.
Provide educational support to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the clinical environment.
Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions for speech therapy, ensuring a smooth continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation that complies with state's, federal guidelines, and the organization's standards.
Engage in continuing education and peer discussions to stay abreast of developments in the speech-language pathology field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required unless you are already ASHA-certified.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for all ages, with a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding communication abilities for interacting with patients, families, and diverse interdisciplinary care teams.
Flexibility in adapting therapeutic techniques to cater to a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Robust clinical judgment combined with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Competency with electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.
Attractive compensation tailored to experience.
Schedule flexibility supporting work-life balance and varied caseloads.
Paths for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth initiatives.
A collaborative environment where quality care and lifelong learning are prime focuses.
A Journey of Progress — Both Yours and Theirs
Within this role, you're not merely assigned to deliver speech therapy; you'll become integral to a community-driven effort to revitalize voices, enhance communication, and evoke joy through connection—one on one moments that matter, where understanding is the bridge to healing.
Here, you'll collaborate with dedicated clinicians who treat one another like family in a space that values teamwork over rivalry. Each patient brings a unique narrative; we invite you to help shape their story.

Who We Seek
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated by outcomes rooted in empathy. Someone who looks at a quiet child and sees a future full of expression, who hears a stroke survivor's halting words and interprets resilience.
This could be the perfect opportunity for a pediatric expert wishing to extend into adult therapy — or a clinician passionate about neuro-rehabilitation who wishes to delve into early intervention.
If driven by heart and skilled in practice, we welcome you with open arms.
