Adult Focused Palliative Care Physician Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for an adult focused palliative care physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

Join a growing and collegial team

Call structure: 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month

Practice setting: Inpatient

Employed position within a nonprofit health system

Board certified or board eligible in palliative care medicine

Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

Schedule can be flexible (5- 8hr days, or 4- 10hr days), no nights or weekends required

Manage complex pain and distressing symptoms, providing comprehensive psychosocial and spiritual support to elevate the patient's and family's quality of life.

Lead collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless coordination and holistic care throughout the patient's illness journey.

Provide timely inpatient consultation services and lead patient rounds, defining clear goals of care to guide critical clinical decision-making.

Develop proactive and personalized discharge and transition plans (including hospice), ensuring continuity of evidence-based medical practice.

Serves diverse, statewide population primarily focusing on Marion County while acting as a referral center for all 92 Indiana counties.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
