If turning intricate prints into stable, repeatable CNC mill processes is your craft, this role is for you. At our Glenview facility—35,000 sq. ft., climate-controlled, and equipped with 100+ CNC machines—you’ll contribute to aerospace, defense, automotive, and other high-spec programs. We’ve spent 60+ years building a reputation for quality, innovation, and long-standing customer partnerships, and our 50-person team includes many veterans with 20+ years here.

Your mission

Own the CNC milling set-up process from blank to first-article approval and through production, holding tight tolerances while optimizing cycle times and quality.

How you’ll make an impact

• Set up and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis VMCs for complex, high-precision parts.
• Decode blueprints and GD plan setups that deliver accuracy and throughput.
• Install tooling/fixtures, establish work offsets, and verify programs.
• Load, edit, and prove out G-code; adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Execute first article and in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining/tooling issues; maintain machine cleanliness and basic PM.

What you’ll need to succeed

• 2–5+ years of CNC milling set-up experience
• Strong command of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
• Proficiency with precision gauges and instruments
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, and similar controls
• Ability to edit G-code at the control
• Tooling, speeds/feeds, and material knowledge (aluminum, steel, plastics)
• Solid math; trigonometry a plus
• High school diploma or trade school certification preferred
