Senior Staff Accountant

Overview The Staff/Senior Staff Accountant will assist with the accounting process for multiple subsidiaries within the organization and work closely with the Director of Operational Accounting & Reporting to prepare monthly financials. This role is located in Louisville, KY and is in the office 3 days a week, and at home 2 days. It’s a 4 week rotating schedule so you are home either Mon/Tues or Thurs/Fri. Wednesdays the entire team is in office. Responsibilities Prepare and record journal entries, including generating supporting schedules and documentation. Reconcile general ledger accounts to multiple external systems and data sources. Analyze monthly P&L’s for discrepancies and issues. Research and resolve/explain unexpected variances and fluctuations. Assist with external audits. Provide assistance and support to the leadership. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with direct supervisor and co-workers.
